Description
Stephen Lowell provides this description: the painter was Fukuda Hoshiro, 1904-70, career began 1925. The scene is a view of Shonen Island, which is what the Japanese called Singapore after they seized it.
When I was in Europe in 2017 I saw shops selling antique postcards in a number of cities close to the rail station where the rents were high. Postcards are apparently bigger than coins over there.
Over the decades I’ve been selling collectibles my market has been about 97% coins, 2% paper money, 1% everything else.
