Probably a late 19th century type.
So-called “manillas” are mostly European made for use as trade objects from the 17th century, when Portuguese and Dutch factories made them, through a French and a British period that only ended in 1949, when manillas were finally demonetized.
Over the decades I’ve been selling collectibles my market has been about 97% coins, 2% paper money, 1% everything else.
