Description
Stock certificates made of paper were issued in large numbers in the 20th century. In the 21st century the actual papers still exist, but most are on file with authorized agencies, instead of sitting in the files of the actual holder, from which they could occasionally be put out for collectors to collect. Another way they get to collectors is through the liquidation of the issuing agency and the dispersal of unissued certificates lying around.
Over the decades I’ve been selling collectibles my market has been about 97% coins, 2% paper money, 1% everything else.
