This comes from a hillside that also yields shrimp fossils.

The mid-Cretaceous period was prime tyrannosaur time. A good part of what is now dry land was then shallow ocean, thus the fish fossils found in the mountains of Lebanon.

I heard a paleontologist on the radio making a statement that fossils in general are extremely common and can be found all over the place.
